Friendliness and eager to please. The room was ideal for a walking break with ensuite facilities and in a building adjacent to the pub with direct access from the car park.

"Warm welcome in a genuine country inn"
I stayed for one night on a business trip to Swindon and found the location, in a small village very friendly and restful. I will make an effort to return with my wife for a leisure break to explore the glorious country side. Nothing appeared to be to much trouble and the service was marvellous without being obtrusive. Guest Reviews

Overall rating: 4.9 out of 5
We stayed at the Jolly Tar on the night of the 30th June, we were greeted by Steve the landlord who was very friendly, welcoming and an over all chirpy chap. The room was clean, tidy and just what was needed. Not too small and not too big, after all you're only sleeping in it for a night.

If you're wanting a nice quiet night's sleep then here is the answer as after the pub closes it all goes quiet ....... Perfect
